A special event of this years Workshop was the opening of the exhibition of painting of Professor Stanislaw Baj, entitled "The Mother" in the Museum of Chelm, on the first day of the meeting. Professor Baj has brought his exhibition to an unusual and exceptional place, a former unitary-orthodox church, which enhanced the impact of his art.

According to our tradition, laureate of last year's workshop, Tomasz Kalitko presented his art at Galeria 72, Chelm generating much interest in our artistic community. His paintings follow the concept of the "new figuration" of Professor Jan Switka, his master. Paintings of Kalitko contain an enormous load of emotion drawn from experiencing the todays world. Along with Kalitko, another exhibition of graphic art of Professor Przemyslaw Tyszkiewicz - Head of Graphic Art Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw - has been presented. His works are produced using the aquaforta and aquatinta technique and draw attention by its unrealistic, fairy tale scenery and style.
