Exhibition of painting of Tomasz Kalitko
The exhibition of painting of Tomasz Kalitko - the winner of the 6th International Art Workshops Pienkow 2007 - was opened at Chelm Museum on July 9, 2008. The exhibition is a joint endeavor of the Museum and the Marek Maria Pienkowski Foundation. It presents the work of the artist from the last two years period. Tomasz Kalitko is interested in the life of contemporary people, involved in different social relations. The pictures he paints depict the modern man as one suppressed and overwhelmed by the present day civilization.

Tomasz Kalitko graduated from the Poznan Academy of Fine Arts in 2006. Today, he as an assistant at the Academy. The exhibition of his painting in Chelm Museum will be open till July 30.

 

Exhibiton of graphic arts of Przemyslaw Tyszkiewicz
The exhibition of graphic arts of Professor Tomasz Tyszkiewicz from Wroclaw opened in Chelm Museum on July 9.  The exhibition was organized in collaboration and with the support of Marek Maria Pienkowski Foundation as accompanying event of the 7th International Art Workshops Pienkow 2008. The graphic arts of Tyszkiewicz make a great impression by its baroque style, rich form and attention to every detail. The works of the artist are realized in aquaforta and aquatinta techniques. Graphic arts placed on black backgrounds create an atmosphere of magic, mystery and anxiety. 

Professor Przemyslaw Tyszkiewicz is the head of the Graphic Arts Techniques Department at Wroclaw Academy of Fine Arts.
